The new wing in the For Freedom Museum, with the theme of combat in the air during WWII. Thanks to the cooperation of the Bahaat association, the visitor will be in a masterful setting, guided through the captivating stories of WWII pilots and their crew members. Bahaat, who has been excavating crashed planes for more than 25 years, made sure to give many missing crew members a dignified grave.Decorator, scenographer, Pierre Verbreydt transcended himself again to depict the history of 5 years of air war over Belgian soil. The entire chronology is shown in a historically responsible way, but is made even more insightful through the input of the internationally renowned aviation comic book. to Thomas Du Caju, making the latest form of archaeology a real experience. “Wings For Freedom “will be the crowd-pleaser for young and old this summer. Du Caju's artistic input brings a new form of communication to telling an event, particularly attractive for a young audience. The new wing integrates perfectly into the theme of Occupation and Liberation of the For Freedom Museum and will be available permanently from 17 June.
