A visit from Canada!
Last weekend, the For Freedom Museum was visited by two Canadian cyclists from British Columbia, Canada.
Teacher Ben Fast (Vancouver) and his colleague Daisuke Serizawa (Victoria) were on a cycle tour along the Liberation Route Europe, through Belgium and the Netherlands, following in the footsteps of our Canadian liberators in 1944.
A visit to the For Freedom Museum was on the itinerary, and a guided tour with co-curator Danny Jones was a must.
Due to some cycling problems, they had to take a short break and find somewhere to stay for the night. The two globetrotters were warmly welcomed by the For Freedom Team and, after a few nights’ stay, were able to continue their journey of discovery through the Low Countries.
The For Freedom Museum has gained two new Canadian ambassadors.
